  Join us for GiveNOLA Day!
On May 5th you can help LSU Health in all that it does for the community as the area gathers together for GiveNOLA Day. It’s 24 hours of unprecedented giving. It’s your chance to make a real difference for the LSU Health Sciences Center right here in New Orleans. LSU Health is made up of 6 Schools and 11 Centers of Excellence. Listed below is just a small snapshot of the great work our students and faculty do.

Your donations can support work we do in the community like:

Camp Tiger: A week-long day camp for children with special needs in the Greater New Orleans area run by first year LSU Medical School students. Campers visit the zoo, play at the Saints practice arena, explore City Park, and even go on safaris at the Global Wildlife Center. For 30 summers LSU Medical students dedicate the first week of their summer to this amazing experience.

Soup Kitchen at the St. Joseph Rebuild Center: LSU Medical students volunteers set up, distribute meals and organize food donations for the homeless in the area.

Dentistry Services: In the LSU School of Dentistry predoctoral student clinics, LSU dental students provide care under the supervision of LSU School of Dentistry faculty. Dental care is not provided free of charge, but fees in student clinics are significantly reduced from the cost of private dental care

These are just a few examples of the numerous programs we do in your community, not to mention the potentially life saving research happening in the laboratories like that of the Cardiovascular Center of Excellence. For more stories please watch:

Please show your support on May 5th by donating online at The Greater New Orleans Foundation is hosting a Cinco De Mayo Party in Lafayette Square all day complete with donation stations so you can donate there.
